Greetings, Virtual Gods and Goddesses! If you’ve seen my Twitter posts or Flickr photostream or even other posts in this blog, you probably know I’m a big fan of the Pandora’s Box of Dreams sim. This gorgeous sim, owned by Mizaki Cupcake Verlack and Lokhe Angel Verlack, is a master artwork in its build. The sim itself has been changed a number of times, which is something I like about it very much, and which keeps SL explorers and photographers coming back again and again like Doctor Who fans coming back to check out the new Doctor.
Each new build is a new Dream, and Pandora’s BoD is currently in its 4th incarnation, Dream 004: Del Mar Dream. The Del Mar Dream is a breezy, perfect, lazy summer day island build that uses beautiful sights and happy, soothing sounds to create a space where you can let all your RL stresses slip away and actually believe the waves are lapping at your toes.
Previous incarnations have held Asian flavored pagodas and cherry blossoms, the country farm feel of grassy fields with lemon trees, and even an all water sim with imaginative light bulb candle head birds and blossom seats.
One thing they all have in common is plenty of spots to keep SL photographers squealing in delight! And as if that wasn’t enough, Miza and Lokhe have announced the first Pandora Box of Dreams Photo Contest!
Dream 004: Del Mar Dream Photo Contest: Life of the Dream Island
Everyone is invited to participate in this contest, however I highly encourage you to join their in-world ~Pandora Box of Dreams~ group to keep updated on contest info and opening dates when the Dreams change. But for now, here is the contest info, copied from the notecard sent to group members:

The featured pic way at the top of this post is my first submission into the contest, woot!
Do check out the Flickr contest group, there are lots of beautiful submissions there. Though I must say that some of those people are not following the guidelines, which call for capturing the abundant life found in the creatures that make their home in Del Mar. I’m seeing lots of avvie shots with none of nature’s critters in them at all. Hopefully that will give better chances of winning to the folks who do follow the guidelines!
